We had an unscheduled re-arrangement of our perfume shelves last week, in our attempt to locate a fragrance for a recent order.

“I think YOU have it.”

“It’s not on my list – it’s definitely yours”

“I can’t find it”

Note Series #22 – AQUATICS

Aquatics or marine scents belong to the Aromatic category, because the salt-water note is usually combined with herbs such as sage, rosemary, cumin, lavender, and other green plants such as vetiver, which have an intense grassy scent. They are also often combined with citrus, floral, or spicy notes, all of which evoke images of seaside locations. Here are four of our favourite aquatic fragrances, easily wearable by both women and men.

Esther's gone fishin' for a couple of weeks, or I should say gone sniffin'.

Join us when she checks back in at the end of the month because she's sure to have a lot of very interesting and very juicy news.

In the meantime, we're going to read some of her recent posts and track down a few of the newest fragrances she's discovered.

Coriandre – A wonderful green contradiction – August 5, 2016

Original 1973 Print ad for Coriandre -

When the humidity makes it feel like 39C/102F, it’s hard to think. Or move without dripping. Cool and green is on the menu this week for just about everything, especially the morning and evening spritz.

Civic Holiday – A blissful midsummer long weekend

It’s midsummer, and a long weekend in Ontario, as well as most provinces across Canada. It’s a time for us northern folk to stop and enjoy our exceptional summer weather, which so far has been hot and humid, or hot and dry, depending on the week, and the forecast is for more of the same.

Our families aren't going to be doing much more than laze on the beach under a big ol' umbrella, or plunk ourselves down by the pool - on the shady side of course - and bliss out with eating, drinking, and swimming, if we can work up the energy.
