I like sharing things I love - recipes, books, music – with people. I really do. There’s a lot of fun in sharing a new discovery, a new passion. That’s the main reason Kay and I started perfumeniche.com, so that we could share our enthusiasm and passion for fragrance with like-minded scent enthusiasts.

But once in a while something comes along and it’s so good, you don’t want to share it. You want it to be yours, just yours. And here is where the trouble starts, cause down this path lies the slippery slope of deception and deceit.

A little while ago someone emailed us and wanted to know what licorice/anise based scents we had. We got them sorted out with decants of scents we had written about and some we hadn’t talked about yet – which raises an interesting point: if you are interested in a frag but don’t see it on the web site, contact us and ask us if we have it, we often do – now, back to the blog.

Today I bought Batucada. I sniffed it when it first came out and made a note that it was FBW, but it wasn’t until the weather turned a bit cooler that it floated to the top of the must-have pile.
