Comme des Garçons fragrances are never dull. Maybe it’s because they come from a design house, maybe it’s because they comes from an edgy design house, but I find their fragrances always interesting and many of them FBW.

Some people are suckers for nice packaging, some are drawn to pretty bottles, and while I have sometimes succumbed to such marketing tricks, the thing I’m a sucker for is a good back story, which brings me to Santa Maria Novella’s Acqua di Colonia

Some great things have come out of Sweden – Ikea, Alexander Skarsgård and Byredo Parfums.

Byredo Parfums is a niche line founded by Ben Gorham in 2006. Initially, the focus was on fragrance products for the home, but by 2008 Byredo had launched its first personal fragrances, most of them based on particular memories and experiences of Mr. Gorham. Currently, there are seven fragrances in the line, and I have a few of them, but my first love is Fantastic Man. I remember that I bought it at Colette the first time I sampled it.

I got the Mondays. A bad case of the Mondays. If this were a Tuesday, it would be a bad case of the ‘I-don’t-wanna’s. But it’s not Tuesday – it’s Monday. Too early for a glass of wine, too much to do to go back to bed, too many deadlines to go shopping  - there’s just one thing for it: a short fracay*.
