En vacances! August 15, 2016

August - that last stretch of summer.

So before camp ends and school starts, Esther, Kay and I are all off the grid, grabbing the best of the rest of summer – cooler nights, ripe, juicy field tomatoes and asteroid showers.

We won’t be blogging this week, but we’ll be back on Monday August 22.

Soliflore Gardenia – sultry and indolic and true to nature - June 6, 2016

Caribe tripical dinner - caribe.com

My first real experience with gardenia was on a trip to the Virgin Islands. That first night, the air around the villa was filled with their sultry, intoxicating fragrance. It was unforgettable and as I write this, I can still call up the scent memory.
