Santal 33 – woody and floral and leathery

Psychédélique - dark and smoky and ambered patchouli

It's winter where I am but, I'm ready for it since I brought my favourite cold weather fragrances to the front of the shelf at the end of autumn. Now, by the middle of winter, I notice that the fragrance I've been wearing most is Psychédélique from Parsian niche house Jovoy Parfumeur Parisien.

Hyde – leathery and smoky and smoothly seductive

La Couche du Diable – deep and rich and opulent

Russian Leather – green and leathery and woody

Boot Lake Sunset, Mackenzie Delta, NWT by Martin Male, Nov. 20. 2005

Fonteyn – Floral and woody and charismatic

Vetyverio – clean and warm and woody

Fall arrives - perfumeniche.com

The other day, I came across an article called ‘The Science Behind the Smell of Fall’. It’s good reading for anyone interested in fragrances, but the part that struck me most was this:

Route du Quai - aquatic and hay-like and woody

Sunset on the St. Lawrence river at Riviere-Ouelle, Quebec

Spiritueuse Double Vanille – rich and smoky and woody

Bana Banana – fruity and warm and joyful
