Planning an international trip any time soon? Keep an eye out for Guerlain’s travel retail exclusive fragrance Rosa Fizz in the Aqua Allegoria line. The frag’s notes are rose, litchis, blackcurrants, mandarins, peonies, plums, sandalwood, white musk and benzoin. Sounds like a great duty-free pick-me-up!

Looking for leads on great but well-priced scents? Check out the “Discounted Diamonds” section of the site Colognoisseur. Authored by Mark Behnke, former managing editor of CaFleurBon, the site has some great reccos for ‘fumes that won’t break the bank!
Charna Ethier at Providence Perfumes has been behind some wonderful scents. Now she’s launching a fougere—Heart of Darkness. She describes it as “a classic fougere for men with a dark twist.” Based on the review by Mark Behnke on Colognoisseur, she’s got another winner on her hands. He calls it a “green triumph.” Now that makes me want to give it a sniff!

Makes me want to try it
Did you read The Perfect Scent by Chandler Burr? In it, he follows the creation of Sarah Jessica Parker’s first celeb scent. She starts out wanting a dirty sexy scent like the one she “makes” at home by combining a number of frags, and ends up with…Lovely, which is, well, lovely, but not the frag that initially enchanted her and, I would guess, a lot of us other fume-heads. Well, about a decade later, SJP appears to have finally gotten her dream scent into a bottle. Called Stash, the frag is being very well reviewed. I tried to track it down while in New York recently, but didn’t realize it was exclusive to Ulta for now…so I’m still looking. Check out this review on Now Smell This for the full details.
Interested in Lovely? Gwen and Kay have it on offer.
