I first smelled this scent on someone when I was in London a few years ago and it haunted me until I bought a bottle of it. Little Gwen, happy at last.
Classified as a woody, and it truly is, it is also a green scent, with a deep, dark green feel. Cardamom and coriander at the opening give it spice while grass oil gives it a thick green note.
At the heart, violet gives it an earthiness – a kind of skanky quality, too – and white jasmine gives it a lush, indolic, floral note. Hemlock, a poisonous evergreen, makes it feel heady and dangerous.
Violet tempers the hemlock, and the wonderful woody notes of cedar and sandalwood weave in and out during the amber drydown.
This is the smell of magic - the transition from recognizable green to dangerous, dark green.
Notes: cardamom, coriander, grass oil, white jasmine, violet, hemlock, cedarwood, sandalwood, amber.
