Ormonde Man
Ormonde Man
Launched in 2004 by English perfume house Ormonde Jayne, Ormonde Man is derived from the houses signature feminine fragrance Ormonde Woman.
Ormonde Man is a walk in the forest - deep, green, woody - warmed by a soft light. It isn’t brash or bold, but a complex, smooth and sensuous skin scent that smells so wonderful on a man.
It opens fresh and citrusy from bitter bergamot and a shot of gin/pine from juniper berries. Juniper berries are the only spice that comes from conifers which is why pink pepper, cardamom and coriander seeds complement it so beautifully here, adding spicy warmth and a hint of anise. As it blooms, oud, sweet and deep, comes forward and blends with black hemlock creating a heart that is deep, dark and green, with the oud never getting loud or sharp. Vetiver and cedar at the base carry the green vibe through to the drydown, while sandalwood gives it a woodiness. Musk balances it all while making it warm and sensuous.
Linda Pilkington, founder and creator of Ormonde Jayne has gained a reputation for using quality materials and for being the first to use specialty oils, like black hemlock, which makes her fragrances truly unique.
Notes: Bergamot, juniper berry, pink pepper, cardamom, coriander seeds, oudh black hemlock, vetiver, cedar, sandalwood and musk.
