Vetiver Oriental
Vetiver Oriental
Created by Christopher Sheldrake for Serge Lutens, Vetiver Oriental is a dark lush, opulent EDP highlighting the best of vetiver.
Vetiver is a green, dirty, earthy, woody, deep, bitter-smelling grass most often flanked with citrus or herbs. In this EDP its green rootiness is heightened by iris, giving it a bright, clear opening. As it moves to the middle, it gets darker – resinous, spicy and a little smoky. A note of chocolate accents vetiver’s bitterness but doesn’t make it sweet. This is not a gourmand scent at all. The base of musk, amber, warm, sweet sandalwood is sumptuous, softening and smoothing the bitterness of the chocolate and the vetiver, giving it a rich silkiness.
Vetiver Oriental is luxurious, exotic, and opulent—like it was born in a royal Oriental court. It is the perfect tonic for cool weather.
Notes: Iris root, undergrowth notes, amber, chocolate, rockrose labdanum, vetiver, Guaiac wood, musk, sandalwood.
