Eau du Fier
Eau du Fier
Created by Isabelle Doyen for Annick Goutal in 2000, this scent is a knockout! It smells of tar, smoke, and leather. While this might not sound appealing, these notes are combined with other ingredients in such a way that the result is elegant, refined, and gorgeous.
It opens with tar and bitter orange, then gets smoky and leathery from tea. Osmanthus and tea flower give it a floral/fruity note along with a slight sweetness, while clove gives it spicy warmth.
Eau du Fier, Black and Comme des Garçons Tar make a nice little trio based on their rubber/tar notes. Compared to Bulgari Black, Eau du Fier has more depth and dimension, and is smoother and more elegant than Tar. Eau du Fier is a class act and perfect for both men and women to wear.
Notes: bitter orange, osmanthus, salt flower, clove, tea, and birch tar.
