Daphne was named after Daphne Guinness, the celebrity daughter of Irish brewing heir Jonathan Guinness, known for eccentric fashion designs. In 2009, perfumer Antoine Lie and Comme des Garçonscollaborated to create Daphne eau de parfum.

Notes from the Daphne Guinness website: Bitter orange, incense, saffron, Centifolia rose, Tunisian jasmine, tuberose, iris, patchouli, oud, amber and vanilla. Daphne is available through the Daphne Guinness website, but they only ship within the UK.

Daphne is a favourite of mine. It’s a big perfume; when warm, earthy tuberose is joined by jasmine, it becomes irresistible.

I’m pleased to offer a 50 ml vintage bottle of Daphne, manufactured in 2009, from my collection. It comes in a red velvet pouch in a linen and cardboard box covered in sealed cellophane.
